This webinar explores how hypervisors (Xen, ACRN) provide robust workload isolation for mixed-criticality embedded applications.
We examine their ability to securely partition compute resources between real-time tasks, general-purpose OS environments, and safety-certified applications while maintaining deterministic performance.
The session covers hypervisor configuration for resource-constrained devices, including memory protection schemes, interrupt handling optimizations, and secure inter-VM communication protocols.
For applications with less stringent isolation requirements, we'll discuss how Docker containers can serve as a lightweight alternative, examining their tradeoffs in performance overhead versus security guarantees.
Real-world examples from automotive illustrate how both approaches can be strategically deployed based on system requirements.
Jochen Decker - embedded systems and automotive software development expert - will present this webinar with live Q&A available throughout the broadcasts.
